                  Torrents have become very popular in the present era .The Torrent system is a download mechanism, in which you download from others who have already downloaded the same file (seeders), instead of straining one download server. .For downloading torrent , you need a Torrent Client like Bittorrent, utorrent,etc .I bascially prefer to use utorrent over bittorrent based on my sole experience . The file is downloaded in chunks pouring from the servers or seeders . The best feature I like about torrent clients is that downloads can be paused whenever you like . If due to some reason there is net connection problem the connection is lost and download is interrupted . But the download can be resumed at the very point it was interrupted again...!!! :) . Also there is special feature of automatic system shutdown/hibernate . It automatically shuts down your machine once the downloading completes . That means you can start downloading and push yourself to bed for a sound sleep while torrent does its work and shuts down your computer . :) This feature is available from Options Menu.

Seeders : These are the people who have already downloaded the file and are helping in uploading to you. More the seeders , the better the download speed. You wont be able to download anything if there are no seeders no matter how many peers/leechers are there ....

Leechers/Peers : These are people just like you who are downloading from other seeders(you may be one of them) and the server . They too provide some of the bandwidth helping you to download as well .

                  In torrent mechanism , you basically download a .torrent file (of few kbs) which contains info of the file and the link to the target tracker server . Opening it with the Torrent Client establishes a connection to server,seeders,leechers and other trackers and downloading start. It takes some time to establish the connection. So dont expect the high downloading speed in the early stage itself......

 You can always search the desired torrents on these sites and download their respective  .torrent files. Moreover you can google and find torrents too.... 

 

Points to remember while downloading torrent files..

• See for the number of seeders on torrent sites. They specify the number of Seeders and Leechers for every file . More the seeders, the better the download .

• Also see the seeders/leechers ratio . Better the ratio , better the download . E.g. : seeders/leechers ratio of  500/499 is better than rati 500/999....

• Watch for the comments provided on the torrent sites for the file you download . Mostly the users who have downloaded the file post these utmost useful comments. You can make out whether the torrent is fake , the quality of torrent and download speed from these comments .

• Look for the verified torrents meaning that dont be the first user to download it... :D
